Use & Character
Colourful purse made from recycled saris and cotton, handmade in Nepal.
The fabrics come from reused textiles and are made into new, unique accessories. Every purse therefore ends up with its own combination of colours and patterns – every piece is a small one-off.

What a sari is
A sari is a single length of fabric, five to six metres long – uncut, unsewn, simply wrapped and folded. When it grows too thin to wear after years of use, the fabric itself is still good for a long time. In South Asia, worn-out saris therefore do not end up in the bin but at markets of their own, where they are resold and made into something new.
How it is made
Sewn by a women's collective in Nepal. Because every length is patterned differently, no two purses are alike.
With your purchase you support fair working conditions and traditional handwork.
