Scent & Effect
Scent & Effect
Kamasutra as an incense stick, with holy basil and star anise – spicy and sweetish.
Where the name comes from
The Kama Sutra is an Indian text from the first millennium, compiled by a scholar named Vatsyayana. Unlike its reputation in the West suggests, it is mostly about the conduct of life: about friendship, about music and the arts, about running a household. Kama, pleasure, counts in the Indian tradition as one of four aims of life – alongside duty, prosperity and liberation.
Where the scent comes from
Holy basil, tulsi, stands in the courtyard of many Hindu households. Star anise is the dried fruit of an evergreen tree from southern China, star-shaped with usually eight chambers.
When it suits
In the evening, on quiet weekends, when things may be spicy and warm.
