Scent & Effect

Kumari as an incense stick, with rosemary and cinnamon – spicy and warm.

Where the name comes from
The Kumari is Nepal's living goddess. A young girl, chosen by strict criteria, who is revered as the embodiment of the goddess Taleju and lives in the Kumari Ghar on Durbar Square in Kathmandu. At certain times you may enter her house and receive her blessing – on my last visit to Nepal I met her myself. It is one of the country's most singular and most living traditions, and one of the few product names in the shop with a place behind it that you can actually visit.

When it suits
Rosemary and cinnamon together make a kitchen-like, spicy scent. Good for the afternoon, for autumn days, and for rooms that should smell lively.

Scent profile: spicy, warm
