Scent & Effect
Scent & Effect
Trimurti as an incense stick, with red and white sandalwood – warm and mild.
Where the name comes from
In Hinduism, Trimurti is the threefold form of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva – creator, preserver and destroyer, three aspects of a single power.
Where the scent comes from
Red and white sandalwood come from two completely different trees. The white one is the classic fragrant sandalwood with the creamy warmth. The red one is not even botanically related; for centuries it was used mainly as a dye – for textiles and for the tilaka mark on the forehead. Together they give a milder, rounder note than white sandalwood alone.
When it suits
For meditation and yoga, and for people who find pure sandalwood too sweet.
