Scent & Effect
Vajra rope incense in six varieties – herbal and traditional. Each pack contains one variety.
Where the name comes from
The vajra is one of the best-known ritual objects of Tibetan Buddhism – a small metal sceptre you see everywhere in Nepalese temples. The word means both diamond and thunderbolt: indestructible and sudden as lightning. In Nepali and Newari it is called dorje.
The six varieties
White sage · Sacred Aroma · Meditation · frankincense · sandalwood · Palo Santo.
How they are made
To an old Newari craft: finely ground herbs, resins and woods are wrapped in handmade paper, twisted and dried. No bamboo core, no carrier material – only the blend burns.
When they suit
For rituals, meditation and yoga. Burning time about 20 to 25 minutes; a holder is included.
