Oil Burner | Ceramic

With a tealight and a few drops of fragrance oil, this handmade ceramic oil burner creates a warm, quiet atmosphere.

Its plain shape and the natural glaze colours in beige or blue fit harmoniously into many interiors. The soft candlelight makes for a particularly atmospheric mood – ideal for relaxed evenings, meditation or small everyday rituals.

Because every oil burner is made by hand, every piece is a small one-off.

Why stoneware
Stoneware is fired at a considerably higher temperature than ordinary clay. In the process the body vitrifies: it becomes dense and barely absorbs any water. For an oil burner that is exactly the point – there is water on top and a candle burning underneath. Porous clay would soak itself full and cope less well with the heat.

How it is made
Made and glazed by hand in Nepal, in small ceramic workshops.

How to use:
fill the bowl on top with water
add 2–5 drops of fragrance oil
place a tealight underneath and light it
The water warms slowly and the scent spreads gently through the room.
