Where the scent comes from
The rhododendron is Nepal's national flower. In Nepali it is called ‘lali gurans’, and when it blooms in spring whole hillsides in the middle ranges turn red – between roughly 1,500 and 3,500 metres. Anyone hiking in Nepal in March or April walks through flowering rhododendron forest for weeks on end. Here it is combined with mugwort, one of the oldest incense plants there is, which gives the scent its tart, herbal side.

When it suits
In spring, in the morning, while airing the room. Mountain Flower is the scent in the shop that smells most of the outdoors rather than of a temple.
