Where the scent comes from
Palo Santo means ‘holy wood’ and comes from South America, not from Nepal. The tree belongs to the same family as frankincense and myrrh. The remarkable part: freshly cut wood barely smells at all. It only develops its characteristic scent once the tree has died a natural death and the wood has lain on the ground for years. Responsible harvesting therefore collects deadwood only.

When it suits
Before meditation or yoga, when a room needs setting in the right mood. In the evening too, when you want warmth without sweetness. Palo Santo has a habit of burning unevenly – if the stick goes out, simply light it again.
