Where the scent comes from
Chamomile belongs to the daisy family, related to the daisy and the sunflower; what is used are the small flower heads. Its Greek name translates as ‘earth apple’ – because the fresh plant smells of apples when you rub it between your fingers. As an incense scent, what remains of that is a herbaceous, warm note; it does not turn sweet.

When it suits
In the evening, when the day is slowly winding down. Nice a while before bedtime, followed by a short airing – that way the scent stays in the room without it smelling of smoke.
