Incense Holder Flower of Life | Ceramic

This ceramic incense holder carries the Flower of Life pattern, finely worked into the surface rather than printed on.

At 12.5 centimetres across it has the largest catching surface of all four holders in the shop. The opening for the stick sits in the centre, with an additional recess beside it for a secure hold.

It comes in two natural colour versions. Because every piece is made and glazed by hand, the shade and the impression of the pattern differ slightly from one to the next.

How the pattern is built up
It consists entirely of overlapping circles of equal size: each centre lies on the edge of its neighbours. The blossom pattern emerges from that on its own, without having to be drawn. The motif is old and appears in very different cultures and periods.

Why the weight matters here
Around 180 grams across 12.5 centimetres: you notice it when you push the stick in – the holder does not slide away.

Made and glazed by hand in Nepal, in small ceramic workshops.
