Quality & Origin
Quality & Origin
The characteristic Dhaka pattern has its origins in Nepalese textile tradition. These designs are still an important part of the culture today and are both woven traditionally and produced by modern methods.
I picked this fabric out myself in a small fabric shop in Nepal. Exactly how it was made was something they could not explain to me across the language barrier – so, honestly, I do not know. What I do know: it is firm, holds its shape and is a pleasure to work with.
With your purchase you support local traders and small producers in Nepal.
