Dhaka is a traditional Nepalese textile style, known for its richly coloured geometric patterns. The designs draw on the classic Dhaka weaving art that has been used in Nepal for generations for clothing, accessories and traditional caps.

I picked this fabric out myself in a small fabric shop in Nepal. Exactly how it was made was something they could not explain to me across the language barrier – so, honestly, I do not know. What I do know: it is firm, holds its shape and is a pleasure to work with.
